Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an ED Tech Advanced at West Hospital to provide direct patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse or healthcare professional. The role involves vital sign monitoring, basic wound care, and supporting patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced emergency department.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, an AEMT program is preferred, and at least 1 year of experience as an LPN, ED Tech, or Advanced EMT.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AEMT program preferred.
• 1 year of experience as an LPN, ED Tech, or Advanced EMT required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse or designated healthcare professional.
• Perform ECGs and basic lab draws.
• Assist with IV insertion, IV site care, and catheter placement as directed.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Support patient safety and participate in handoffs and rounds.
