Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an ED Tech for Marcum & Wallace Hospital to deliver direct patient care under RN supervision in a fast-paced environment. The role supports safety, documentation, and timely communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• BLS Certification preferred, must obtain from approved source prior to patient care.
• EMR/EMT or Medical Assisting certification preferred.
• Experience as Patient Care Tech, nursing support, or healthcare student preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance and hospital policies.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
• Take and document vital signs and conduct basic screenings.
• Assist with lab draws, ECGs, wound care and routine procedures.
• Communicate changes to the nurse and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support patient safety and participate in handoffs and care coordination.
• Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and teamwork under stress.
