Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an ED Tech to provide direct patient care under the guidance of a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. You will assist with basic patient care, vital signs, mobility, wound care, and data entry in the EMR system.

Responsibilities include completing patient rounds, 1:1 safety support, and effective communication with patients, families, and staff. A High School diploma or GED is required, with BLS preferred and EMR experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification preferred or obtained prior to direct patient care.
• EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care and tasks under RN guidance.
• Complete patient rounding and safety checks.
• Report changes and concerns to nursing staff.
• Document care accurately and timely.
• Assist with lab draws, ECGs and wound care as directed.
