Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an ED Tech to provide direct patient care under the guidance of an RN. Responsibilities include patient comfort, vital signs, basic wound care, and accurate documentation in EPIC.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, and relevant health care certification or nursing student status. The role requires strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire and must obtain before direct patient care.
• State EMR/ EMT or Medical Assisting certification preferred; STNA or nursing student status required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision and follow care plans.
• Document accurately in EPIC and maintain patient records.
• Assist with vital signs, hygiene, mobility, and basic wound care.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse and ensure safe handoffs.
• Support patient safety and quality improvement efforts in a high-stress environment.
