Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an ED Tech to provide direct patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. The role supports the Emergency Department at Marcum & Wallace Hospital, handling vital signs, mobility assistance, documentation, and patient safety.

Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED and familiarity with clinical workflows. BLS is preferred or obtainable, with experience in healthcare settings considered a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic life support certifications preferred or to be obtained.
• Previous patient care or healthcare support experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN guidance.
• Assist with mobility, hygiene, and comfort.
• Perform basic lab draws and ECGs as directed.
• Document care activities accurately and promptly.
• Communicate patient needs and changes to nursing staff.
