Job summary

JAMS in Chicago is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to support arbitrations and mediations, maintain case records, and coordinate hearings and panelist communications. You will play a key role in delivering excellent client service and ensuring timely case progression within a collaborative ADR environment.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in case management or related legal/client services roles, strong written and verbal communication, and a solid understanding of ADR processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or related degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of case management experience required.
  • 2-4 years in legal or client service role required.
  • 1-3 years for internal candidates as Case Coordinator required.
  • Proficiency in ADR processes including mediation/arbitration.
  • Knowledge of local Resolution Center (RC) proficiency preferred.
  • Computer literate with required software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Emotional intelligence and adaptability under pressure.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manages case files, maintains records, and updates documents.
  • Prepares and distributes panelist lists with management teams.
  • Schedules hearings and conference calls to meet client needs.
  • Provides exceptional client service by responding to inquiries.
  • Supports panelists with admin tasks and follows up on actions.
  • Monitors deadlines and ensures milestones are met.
  • Communicates with clients, panelists, and colleagues to resolve issues.
  • Learns ADR processes and tools to use case management systems.
  • Builds foundational knowledge of ADR practices through training.
  • Performs other duties within similar scope.
