Job summary

Ashton North LLC seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in Connecticut to join the clinical leadership team. The ADON will report to the Director of Nursing and help lead day-to-day operations, supervise charge nurses, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive QAPI initiatives.

The role requires RN licensure in Connecticut, supervisory experience in a skilled nursing setting, and strong clinical judgment to support residents’ well-being. Position is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• Nursing leadership and supervision experience.
• Knowledge of CMS and state long-term care rules.
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Excellent communication with staff and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and directing daily operations of nursing services.
• Lead charge nurses and supervisors; provide training and oversight.
• Monitor patient care delivery, meds, and infection control.
• Involve in resident assessments and care plan development.
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and budget planning.
• Support staff recruitment, orientation, and licensing verification.
• Coordinate with physicians and regulatory bodies.
• Lead QAPI initiatives and regulatory surveys.
