Job summary

Essenti Talent is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for a premier nonprofit skilled nursing facility in Connecticut. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the ADON will assist in planning, organizing, and directing daily clinical and administrative operations while guiding charge nurses and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (ADN/BSN).
• Current RN license in the state of Connecticut; CPR certification.
• Minimum two years of nursing supervisory/leadership experience in a skilled setting.
• Six months of restorative nursing experience required.
• Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and CMS Participation requirements.
• Ability to supervise, document, and manage clinical rounds and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning and directing day-to-day operations in compliance with standards.
• Lead charge nurses and supervisors; provide training and delegate authority.
• Conduct daily clinical rounds to monitor care delivery and infection prevention.
• Lead development of care plans after resident assessments.
• Manage staffing needs, daily assignments, and staffing information.
