Premier Connecticut Nursing Facility in Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its clinical leadership team. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, you will help direct the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Services Department and lead charge nurses and supervisors.

You will drive regulatory compliance, spearhead QAPI initiatives, and ensure residents receive high-quality care across clinical rounds, assessments, and care planning.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required (Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Connecticut; CPR certification
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing supervisory/leadership experience in a skilled nursing facility, hospital, or related healthcare setting
• Minimum of six (6) months of restorative nursing experience
• In-depth knowledge of long-term care regulations, CMS Requirements of Participation, medical practices, and state health codes
• Strong independent clinical judgment, documentation skills, and problem-solving abilities

Responsabilidades

• Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing day-to-day nursing operations
• Provide leadership to Charge Nurses and Nurse Supervisors; train and delegate supervision
• Monitor nursing care delivery, medication passes, treatment protocols, and infection prevention
• Participate in resident clinical assessments and develop person-centered care plans
• Assist with staffing planning, scheduling, and daily staffing information
• Support recruitment, orientation, licensure verification, and evaluations of nursing personnel
• Coordinate care with physicians, consultants, and interdisciplinary teams
• Lead and support the facility's Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program
• Oversee medication administration and report medication errors to the Director of Nursing
• Assist with department budgeting and equipment/resource allocation
• Collaborate with Staff Development to plan staff in-service training and ensure safety policies
