Job summary

San Joaquin Valley College Inc. seeks an Admissions Advisor to help prospective students understand the value of education and enroll in linear start programs. You will present opportunities, coordinate tours, and guide applicants through placement testing and enrollment steps.

Under supervision of the Enrollment Services Director, you will respond to inquiries, schedule visits, and collaborate with Financial Services to finalize packages and set up interviews and events.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or higher; related work experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and present information clearly.
• Basic math skills and ability to calculate percentages and ratios.
• Experience with MS Office and maintaining student records software.

Responsibilities

• Meet start goals for linear start programs.
• Respond to all inquiries for assigned linear programs.
• Schedule appointments with prospective students.
• Give program presentations to prospective students.
• Provide campus tours to prospective students.
• Schedule placement exams and discuss scores with applicants.
• Schedule candidates for Program Director interviews.
• Refer applicants to financial services.
• Complete enrollment package.
• Follow up by phone and email for events and start dates.
• Coordinate and attend linear program open houses.
• Attend Advisory Board meetings.
• Develop leads to support marketing efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
