Job summary

The North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro, NC is hiring a Guest Services - Admissions team member to greet visitors, scan tickets, collect fees, and help guests navigate entry and exit gates. You will operate the admissions point-of-sale system, answer questions, maintain a friendly demeanor, and support other Guest Services duties as needed.

Weekend and holiday availability is required. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and ability to stand for long periods in varying weather conditions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Experience in admissions or guest‑services preferred
• Ability to work weekends/holidays and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide information
• Collect fees and scan tickets for admission
• Operate a cash register and handle cash accurately
• Direct guests to entrances, assist with crowd control and queue management
• Answer phones and support the Guest Services office as needed
• Identify items that cannot enter the Zoo and advise accordingly
• Perform light housekeeping in admissions areas
