Job summary

The North Carolina Zoo seeks a Guest Services - Entertainment Operator / Cashier to deliver exceptional guest experiences across park attractions, including ticket validation and cashier duties. The role covers multiple locations within the park, with flexible shifts, weekend and holiday availability, and the ability to operate rides and manage queues in outdoor conditions.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and prior experience in guest services or attraction operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School or GED.
• Experience in guest services or attraction operations preferred.
• Ability to use ticketing or POS systems if assigned cashier duties.
• Flexible schedule with weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Validate tickets and track attraction participation daily.
• Safely operate ride attractions and manage queues where applicable.
• Process cash and card payments accurately using the cash register.
• Perform light housekeeping in ticket booths and entertainment areas.
• Assist with additional duties in Guest Services as needed.
