Job summary

Prince William County's Department of Development Services, Director’s Office, seeks an Administrative Coordinator to support the department by handling FOIA requests, managing calendars, taking meeting minutes, and coordinating event planning in a fast-paced public administration environment.

This full-time hybrid role offers telework two days per week after six months, a starting salary range of $28.32–$38.63 per hour, and competitive Virginia benefits, including retirement plans and paid

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of related experience.
  • 3 years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all FOIA requests for the Department.
  • Provide direct support to the Department Director and Assistant Directors, including calendar management, taking meeting minutes, and scheduling meetings.
  • Assist with meeting preparations and taking meeting minutes.
  • Serve as a member of Process Action Teams.
  • Event Planning for the Department.
  • Assists customers and other department staff with specialized or confidential transactions requiring advanced knowledge and experience; responds to requests for information, in person, via e-mail, and over the phone; explains department policies and procedures.

About This Role

Primary Job Duties Include:

  • Respond to all FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests for the Department
  • Provide direct support to the Department Director and Assistant Directors, which includes calendar management, taking meeting minutes, and scheduling meetings.
  • Assist with meeting preparations and taking meeting minutes
  • Serve as a member of Process Action Teams
  • Event Planning for the Department
  • Assists customers and other department staff with specialized or confidential transactions requiring advanced knowledge and experience; responds to requests for information, in person, via e-mail, and over the phone; provides and explains department policies, procedures and regulations.
Minimum Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D and 3 years of related experience.

Work Schedule

8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday). Ability to telework 2 days a week after the first 6 months. This is a telework-eligible position that may change to in-office scheduling if business needs change.

Starting Salary Range

$28.32 - $38.63 hourly ($55,224 - $75,328.50)
