A well-established local insurance organization is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support the VP of Employee Benefits.
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: 25-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Flexible daytime schedule!

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in administrative support, customer service, human resources, benefits administration, account management, or client services who enjoys working with people and building long-term professional relationships.
No previous insurance experience or insurance license is required. Training will be provided to help you learn the employee benefits and insurance industry.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide administrative and client-service support to the VP of Employee Benefits. Responsibilities include:
- Assist with employee benefits client retention, renewals, and new client onboarding
- Provide personalized service and administrative support to assigned business clients
- Gather information needed to prepare employee benefits insurance quotes
- Assist employers and employees with questions regarding their benefit plans
- Prepare materials for annual open enrollment and new-hire benefits onboarding
- Communicate professionally with clients and insurance carriers
- Utilize insurance carrier quoting systems
- Maintain accurate client information, records, and documentation
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Assist with general administrative, customer service, and account management responsibilities
- Participate in ongoing training and education to develop employee benefits and insurance industry knowledge
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 2-3 years of administrative, customer service, HR, insurance, benefits, or related experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent telephone and customer service skills
- Professional, friendly, and service-oriented personality
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and computer-based systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to maintain confidential client and employee information
- Willingness and ability to learn the employee benefits and insurance industry
- Insurance experience or licensing is not required
