Serves as Administrative Assistant providing support for the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Medical Oncology, in working with the Division Administrator and the Manager for Administrative Operations
performs and coordinates management-level administrative duties for divisional leaders; oversees and coordinates appointment calendars; schedules, coordinates and organizes professional, scientific and administrative individual and committee meetings, and other large scale events and conferences; assists Manager for Administrative Operations with planning, monitoring and coordinating daily activities of administrative office; researches, collects and compiles information and data as requested to aid Division Director, DA, manager and other division management staff in decision making and strategic planning initiatives; transmits directives; actively participates in the development and implementation of divisional administrative office policies and procedures; assists with implementation of new initiatives; assists Manager with functional supervision of academic administrative assistant staff members; coordinates and monitors workloads of support staff as directed by Manager; creates and generates reports; independently composes and responds to routine correspondence; prepares and edits correspondence, reports and other documents for DA and Manager; coordinates and makes travel arrangements; prepares and tracks reimbursement of travel expenses; assists with special projects as assigned. Reports directly to Manager, Administrative Operations.
This position will be 50% staff lead role and 50% with supporting around 2-3 faculty in the Division.
