Job summary

Human Touch Home Health in Richmond, VA seeks an Administrative Assistant to keep the office organized and provide proactive support to clinicians, leadership, patients, and referral partners. This full-time, in-office role offers a patient-centered environment and opportunities to grow within a trusted community provider.

You will warmly welcome visitors, manage calls, coordinate schedules, maintain records, assist with onboarding, and help keep supplies stocked.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Administrative or office experience required.
• Healthcare/home health experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, visitors, and referral partners with professionalism and warmth.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
• Schedule appointments and assist with daily office operations.
• Prepare, scan, file, and maintain patient and employee records.
• Assist with onboarding paperwork and administrative support for new hires.
• Order office supplies and maintain an organized office environment.
• Support leadership with reports, correspondence, and special projects.
• Coordinate communication between clinicians, patients, physicians, and office staff.
• Ensure confidential information is handled in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
