Job Description
Position Title: Administrative Assistant
Department: Human Resources Employee Type: Hourly
Reports to: Human Resource Manager

Position Summary:
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department to complete a variety of tasks allotted to efficiently support two locations and 300+ employees.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Upload employee documents into electronic filing system.
- Maintain employee documents and ensure files are updated accordingly.
- Involvement in sourcing, and Screening applicants.
- Communicate and promote monthly wellness topics.
- Assist HR Manager with apprenticeship program and tracking as well as state grant use for training initiatives.
- Conduct inventory counts on HR/Company swag and work with HR Manager to order more when inventory is low.
- Partner with HR Manager to accomplish HR goals including ongoing development programs within the Maine Locations with intentions to roll out company wide.
- Handle postage and mail responsibilities.
- Maintain various logs on a weekly basis.
- Maintain bulletin boards and HR information wall.
- Other administrative duties as the role entails.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- 2-years related experience preferred
- Experience working in a high-paced environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization including candidates
- Computer Skills to include Outlook and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to successfully complete projects
- Ability to work independently
- Receptive and supportive of change
Job related demands (i.e. physical, travel):
- Flexibility to support two locations in Maine (10-mile drive from each other)
- Use of computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues with tact and diplomacy
- Prioritization of multiple projects to meet operational goals
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 35lbs. without assistance on an occasional basis.
- Ability to work in an environment
