Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Patient Access Registrations Specialist I to support registration and scheduling for patients and visitors. The role requires collecting accurate information, verifying insurance, processing co-pays, and guiding patients through financial options while maintaining privacy and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Microsoft Office, internet and email proficiency expected.
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred.
• Healthcare customer service experience required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors courteously and professionally.
• Verify patient demographic, financial, and insurance information.
• Register and schedule patients for appointments, tests, and procedures.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and balances due at service time.
• Explain financial assistance options and consent forms as needed.
• Document and update patient records in the electronic health system.
