Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Mechanical/ Aerospace Engineer to lead the mechanical design of rotary and linear actuators from concept through production. You will drive development of sensing systems, eMachines, and electromechanical gear sets, with a strong emphasis on manufacturability and test durability using real-world vehicle data.

The role requires a BS/ME or Aerospace degree and 4+ years of hands-on actuator design, CAD in NX or SolidWorks, and solid understanding of GD&T and

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Owned mechanical design of at least 1 actuator from concept to production.
• Experience in geared actuation systems with rotary/linear reduction.
• CAD in NX or SolidWorks; knowledge of manufacturing methods (casting, machining, etc).
• Proficient in mechanical drawings and ASME Y14.5 GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed mechanical design of rotary and linear actuators through production.
• Drive development in sensing, eMachines, and electromechanical gear systems.
• Design with manufacturing and assembly in production rates.
• Evaluate cooling solutions for each application.
• Design durability test profiles using vehicle data.
• Lead continuous improvement and data analysis initiatives.
