Anduril Industries in the United States is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to own rotary and linear actuator designs and to drive new sensing and electromechanical systems from concept to production.

You will design for high-volume manufacturing, evaluate cooling solutions, and develop durability tests using real vehicle usage data, while leading continuous improvement and data analysis initiatives.

Qualificações

• BS or higher degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 1-4 years of relevant experience.
• Owned mechanical design of at least 1x actuator from clean sheet design to production.
• Experience in design and analysis of geared actuation systems with rotary and linear gear reduction mechanisms.
• Experience designing mechanical parts (CAD) in NX or Solidworks. Understanding of manufacturing methods (casting, machining, hobbing, grinding, additive, etc)
• Proficient in mechanical drawings, ASME Y14.5 GD&T.
• Experience procuring parts and working in a machine shop. Working knowledge of machine safety and shop safety protocols.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.

Responsabilidades

• Own detailed mechanical design of rotary and linear actuators including but not limited to: eMachines, speed sensing and interconnect assemblies, gearboxes and housings from conceptual phase into production.
• Drive development in new technologies including sensing, eMachines, and electromechanical gear systems.
• Design with a heavy focus for manufacturing and assembly at production rates.
• Evaluate cooling solutions for each application.
• Design durability test profiles using vehicle usage data.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities, including process improvement, efficiency improvement and development of data analysis techniques.
