Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a mechanical engineer to own detailed actuator design from concept to production, including rotary and linear actuation systems. You will drive development of sensing, eMachines, and electromechanical gear systems with a strong manufacturing focus.

The role requires CAD proficiency (NX/SolidWorks), GD&T discipline, and hands-on experience in a machine shop. U.S. Person status is required for access to export-controlled data, with base in CA markets noted.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Owned mechanical design of at least one actuator from concept to production.
• Experience with geared actuation systems and rotary/linear reduction mechanisms.
• Proficient in CAD using NX or SolidWorks; knowledge of casting, machining, hobbing, grinding, additive processes.
• Proficient in ASME Y14.5 GD&T and mechanical drawings.
• Experience procuring parts and working in a machine shop; awareness of safety protocols.
• U.S. Person status required for access to export-controlled data.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed mechanical design of rotary and linear actuators from concept to production.
• Drive development in sensing, eMachines, and electromechanical gear systems.
• Design with manufacturing and production-rate focus.
• Evaluate cooling solutions for each application.
• Design durability test profiles using vehicle usage data.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement and data analysis initiatives.
