Job summary

Anduril Industries in California is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own the detailed design of rotary and linear actuators from concept to production. You will drive new actuation technologies, optimize for manufacturability, and lead durability testing using vehicle data.

The role requires a BS or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 4+ years of actuator design experience, CAD in NX or SolidWorks, and strong GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in actuators.
• Owned mechanical design of at least 1 actuator from concept to production.
• Experience with geared actuation systems and rotary/linear reductions.
• Proficient in CAD with NX or SolidWorks; understanding of manufacturing methods.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed mechanical design of rotary and linear actuators from concept through production.
• Drive development in actuation technologies and gear systems.
• Design with a focus on manufacturability and production rates.
• Evaluate cooling solutions for applications.
• Design durability test profiles using vehicle data.
• Lead continuous improvement and data-analysis initiatives.
