Job summary

CareOregon seeks an experienced Actuary to manage actuarial components of financial reporting and analysis, including IBNR estimates and reserve calculations. You will forecast health care utilization and costs, analyze trends, and communicate results to leadership.

The role leads technical and people management within Strategic Finance, partnering with LOB Finance and other teams to improve outcomes and ROI. Strong SAS/SQL/R skills and Tableau dashboards are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in actuarial services related to health care.
• Work experience in health insurance.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain models to determine actuarial estimates of IBNR and PDR liabilities.
• Lead trend forecasting for budgeting and variance analysis.
• Oversee regulatory reporting for CMS and OHA.
• Communicate results and drivers to business leaders.
