Job summary

CareOregon, Inc. seeks an experienced actuary in Idaho Falls to lead actuarial components of financial reporting and analysis cycles. You will provide IBNR estimates, forecast health care cost trends, and evaluate ROI for initiatives.

This role blends technical modeling with people leadership, ensuring CMS and OHA reporting accuracy and clear communication of results to executives. SOA credentials are required; supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in actuarial services related to health care.
• Work experience in health insurance.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries.

Responsibilities

• Manage development and communication of actuarial analysis for financial reporting.
• Develop models for IBNR, PDR, and other liabilities; ensure deadlines are met.
• Lead trend forecasting and budgeting with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee regulatory reporting for CMS and OHA.
• Supervise and coach actuarial staff; ensure performance and development.
