Job summary

CareOregon, Inc. is seeking a senior actuarial professional to manage actuarial components of financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities include IBNR estimation, trend analysis, and regulatory reporting, with emphasis on modeling, forecasting, and ROI assessment of initiatives. The role requires senior actuarial credentials, at least five years in health actuary work, and demonstrated leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in actuarial services related to health care.
• Work experience in health insurance.
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain actuarial models for IBNR, PDR, and other reserves.
• Forecast utilization and cost trends to inform budgeting and strategic planning.
• Communicate results to leadership and business units with clear insights.
• Oversee regulatory reporting timelines and accuracy for CMS and state agencies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop actuarial staff; manage team priorities.
