Job summary

Milliman is seeking actuarial interns for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience across P&C practices. You will assist with pricing and reserving analyses, work on real projects, and build technical skills in Excel, R, Python, SQL, VBA, and PowerBI.

You will collaborate with project teams, receive mentorship, and participate in meetings and training designed for interns. Some roles may be onsite or remote within U.S. offices.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field, with at least one semester of school remaining.
• At least one actuarial exam passed at the time of application.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Experience with programming or statistical tools (R, Python, SAS, VBA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project teams on data analyses, create portions of client deliverables, perform technical review (checking).
• Develop professional skills such as communication, task management, and presenting.
• Collaborate with colleagues at all levels, including senior consultants and principals.
• Receive mentorship and actionable feedback to support your career development.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and social events designed for our interns.
• Build strong technical skills in Excel, R, Python, SQL, VBA, PowerBI, etc.
