Job summary

Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre in Saginaw, MI seeks an Activities Aide to lead daily life enrichment programs for residents. You’ll create engaging activities, facilitate group and one-on-one sessions, and support transportation to events with a warm, customer-service oriented approach.

Part-time, 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends and some holidays. Requires 1+ year in long term care preferred; Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering compassionate care.
• You are a team player, dedicated to supporting your team and guests.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests and families.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to life enrichment activities.
• Evaluate residents based on interests and needs to tailor meaningful programs.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.

The Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. Our calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. If you like to play games and do crafts, this position may be for you!
