Job summary

West Oaks Senior Care & Rehab in Detroit, MI is seeking an Activities Aide to join our EPIC team. You will lead and participate in life enrichment activities that promote physical and mental well-being for our guests.

The role emphasizes hospitality, group and individual activities, and daily encouragement. A background in long term care is preferred, with Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy welcomed. Part-time shifts are available with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
• Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering compassionate care.
• You are a team player, dedicated to supporting your team and getting the job done.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
• Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs.
• Evaluate patients according to interests, abilities, and needs for meaningful programs.

The Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. Our calendar is filled with amazing and creative activities that bring fulfillment and joy. These activities have the dual purpose of being therapeutic and promoting both physical & mental health and well-being. We are always trying new fun ideas. If you like to play games, listen to music and sing songs, and do arts & crafts -this position may be for you!

You will earn: $15.35 per hour to start

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• Part Time Position

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:

• 1+ year of related experience in long term care preferred.
