Storm2 is seeking a Director of ACH & Payments Risk to lead the ACH program, risk management framework, and compliance initiatives while shaping the payments operations strategy. This role offers remote (U.S.) or hybrid work options and involves partnering with executive leadership to balance growth with risk management in a fast-moving payments environment.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in ACH/payments, strong governance knowledge, and a proven leadership track record.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in ACH, payments, treasury operations, payment risk, compliance, or related financial services disciplines.
• Strong knowledge of ACH operations, NACHA requirements, return-rate monitoring, risk controls, and payments governance.
• Experience leading audits, compliance reviews, risk assessments, or remediation initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex payment environments and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proven leadership experience with teams, programs, or enterprise initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• AAP, APRP, or related payments certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead oversight of ACH operations, risk monitoring, and program performance.
• Analyze payment activity, return trends, fraud indicators, and portfolio metrics to identify and mitigate risk.
• Establish and enhance policies, procedures, controls, and governance frameworks.
• Ensure compliance with NACHA rules, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
• Partner with Compliance, Risk, Operations, Product, and Executive Leadership teams on strategic initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits, examinations, and remediation efforts.
• Evaluate payment partners, vendors, and third-party relationships.
• Develop reporting and analytics to improve payment program performance and operational effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor team members while helping scale payment operations and risk functions.
• Support strategic projects and growth initiatives across the payments organization.
