Job summary

Novelty Inc. in Indiana is seeking an Accounting staff member to support the CFO, Controller, and Accounting Supervisor in handling cash postings, AR activity, and collections for DSD, Wholesale and Liquidation accounts.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in accounts receivable, proficiency with MS Office, excellent written and spoken communication, and the ability to work independently. Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, CoPilot) is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts receivables and collections.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Persuasive and professional problem resolution skills.
• Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, CoPilot).
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• DSD, Wholesale and Liquidation cash posting (Lockbox, Live Checks, Wires, ACH, CC).
• DSD, Wholesale and Liquidation credit and debit memos.
• Track and resolve short pay issues with Sales Rep Teams.
• DSD, Wholesale and Liquidation AR collection.
• Reconciliation of AR accounts.
• Demand letters and collection filings and process checks refunds.
• Retrieve data from SX and create statements for multiple customers.
• Process credit card payments over the phone.
• Receive and process live checks; scan into bank system for deposits.
• Manage daily bank deposits of all monies.
• Provide invoice copies to customers via fax/email.
• Assist with Kipp/Gift job duties when needed.
• Assist and back up tasks as assigned; familiarity with AI.
