Job description

We are currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable/Billing Clerk with one of our construction clients located in the Far East Valley. This is a contract to hire opportunity and requires 5 days in office.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts receivable functions, including billing, collections, and account reconciliation.
  • Process accurate and timely invoicing for time and materials projects.
  • Track equipment usage and allocate costs to customer projects.
  • Maintain billing activities across multiple company entities.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with project managers to validate billable labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and other accounting systems to support AR processes.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of Accounts Receivable experience, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Experience with time and materials billing.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Collaborate with project managers, field operations, and accounting teams to verify billable labor, equipment, materials, and project costs.
  • Generate aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables to minimize delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable.
  • Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks Desktop, to manage AR processes and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounts Receivable experience, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of time and materials billing and construction accounting practices.
  • Experience managing invoicing across multiple entities or business units.
  • Proficiency with accounting software; QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, project managers, and internal teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
