Job summary

Tri County Air Conditioning and Heating is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to manage invoice processing, approvals, and payments in our North Venice, FL office. The role supports payroll processing and maintains confidential financial information in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have AP Clerk experience, strong Excel and accounting software skills, and excellent attention to detail. This full-time position offers growth and benefits in a stable HVAC environment.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk.
• Ability to operate office equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word and Excel).
• Proficient in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
• Knowledge of general accounting practices.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Must be able to work 40 hours in North Venice, FL office per week.

Responsibilities

• Reviews/enters invoices with proper approvals and required documents.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and AP aging reports.
• Maintains vendor records to ensure they are up to date.
• Responds to vendors and internal managers regarding AP invoices and payments.
• Inspects paid and unpaid invoices and maintains accurate files.
• Processes weekly payroll, including commissions.
