Job summary

Truckee Meadows Community College is seeking an Accounting Assistant 2 with Accounts Payable to maintain invoice and payment files, and to match invoices to blanket orders. You will generate and distribute checks while ensuring compliance with A/P policies.

You will audit vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and work with vendors to correct errors. Collaboration with BCN Purchasing and campus departments is essential.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of applicable accounting experience as described in the duties.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate files for incoming invoices and statements.
• Match invoices to blanket purchase orders and process payments.
• Audit and review vendor statements and reconcile charges.
• Liaise with BCN Purchasing and assist departments in interpreting A/P processes.
• Establish and maintain relationships with administration, faculty, staff, and suppliers.
