Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist I to support the payables process and related accounting tasks. You will review vendor invoices, process payment vouchers, manage vendor records, and assist with electronic invoicing and payments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with up to three years of related experience, strong attention to detail, and solid communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 0–3 years of related experience.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.
• Customer service skills for interactions with vendors and internal customers.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Fundamental knowledge of accounts payable principles and general sales & use tax concepts.
• Willingness to learn various software packages and processing workflows.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor invoices and payment requests for accuracy.
• Process vouchers for payment using multiple ERP systems.
• Verify the validity of new vendors submitted for setup.
• Maintain vendor master records across ERP systems.
• Review vendor banking information for ACH/wire setup.
• Ensure payments are processed in accordance with company policies.
• Assist external customers with electronic invoicing and payments.
• Resolve vendor account discrepancies and coordinate with other departments.
• Provide general accounting support as needed.
