Seattle Search Group is partnering with a stable organization to hire an Accounts Payable Specialist in Seattle, WA. This hybrid role requires critical thinking, vendor collaboration, and cross-functional work with operations.

You will not be doing high-volume data entry; you will resolve discrepancies and improve processes. The position emphasizes cross-department communication, month-end close support, and accurate supplier records across multiple systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable or general accounting experience.
• Experience with purchase orders and vendor reconciliations.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with operations, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Comfortable learning new ERP and workflow systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-first approach.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely, accurate payment processing.
• Review invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documentation while resolving discrepancies.
• Partner closely with operations to research and resolve invoice issues.
• Process ACH, check, and wire payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding items.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and documentation within multiple accounting systems.
• Support process improvements and special projects as needed.
