Harvard Resource Solutions LLC in Birmingham, MI is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a growing property development company by paying vendors and subcontractors accurately and on time.

The role requires 3–5 years of accounting experience with accounts payable, hospitality or restaurant accounting experience, and R365 proficiency. This is a 3-month contract with potential extension, in-office Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, including accounts payable duties.
• Restaurant 365 (R365) experience is a major plus.
• Hospitality or restaurant accounting experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and an ERP/Accounting system.

Responsibilities

• Process and pay invoices across multiple locations and entities.
• Code invoices to the correct GL accounts and business entities.
• Review invoices for proper approvals by the appropriate property or location.
• Prepare vendor payments using discounts and verifyFederal ID numbers and schedule payments.
• Resolve discrepancies and maintain supporting documentation.
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements.
• Calculate and report applicable sales tax on paid invoices.
• Investigate discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
• Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as needed.
