Job summary

Ecowaste Solutions in Mobile, AL is seeking a detail‑oriented accounts payable professional to manage invoice processing, payments, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in supplier dealings. Reports to AP Manager.

You will verify vendor data, maintain records, protect confidential information, and support procurement tools such as Procurify and QuickBooks. Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with paid time off and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• QuickBooks Online experience preferred for check runs, vendor payments, and 1099s.
• MS Office and knowledge of accounting software.
• GAAP knowledge helpful for accurate financial reporting.
• Procurify purchasing software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying invoice entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving discrepancies and documenting issues.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing vendors.
• Maintains historical records by scanning and electronically filing documents.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Other work as needed and assigned
