Ecowaste Solutions is seeking an accounts payable professional to handle payments, reconciliations, and vendor relations in a fast-growing waste management company based in Mobile, AL.

The role involves processing invoices, ensuring accuracy, monitoring discounts, and maintaining confidential records within standard accounting practices. A high school diploma and familiarity with QuickBooks Online are required or preferred, with benefits and incentive-based pay included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• QuickBooks Online experience preferred for check runs, vendor payments, and 1099’s.
• MS Office and knowledge of accounting software.
• Procurify purchasing software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
• Reconciles processed work by verifying invoice entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks; resolving discrepancies and documenting actions.
• Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing vendors.
• Maintains historical records by scanning and electronically filing documents.
