Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly payments (ACH/check/wire).
• Process ACH/check/wire requests.
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve discrepancies and payment issues.
• Assist with month-end closing.

Job description

We are currently seeking candidates for an Accounts Payable Specialist at a consumer goods company located in Cranston, RI 02921. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of accounts payable experience, including processing high-volume invoices, supplier set-ups, and check/wire requests.

This role is a 3-5-month temporary role with an opportunity for extension and/or permanent hire.

Hourly Pay Rate: Between $30.00 and $36.00 per hour (based on relevant work experience) within a 40-hour work week.

On-site 4 days per week.

Starts November 16, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Review and/or process a high volume of invoices
• Maintain invoice volume and cycle time accuracy goals
• Accurately code (General Ledger) and enter invoices for payment
• Work with suppliers to resolve account discrepancies and payment issues
• High-volume preparation of weekly payments
• ACH/check/wire requests
• Work with suppliers/vendors to resolve account discrepancies and payment issues
• Assist with month-end closing

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting/accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
• Manufacturing experience is preferred
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Accuracy and attention to detail are a must
• Ability to multitask
• Strong sense of urgency
• Strong attention to detail
