Job summary

Cable One is seeking a Lease Accountant to join our finance team. You will maintain ASC 842 lease accounting schedules, prepare journal entries, and reconcile balance sheets while supporting audits.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's in accounting and 1+ year of GL experience, with knowledge of ASC 842. We offer strong benefits, remote options in many states, and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and at least 1 year of practical general ledger accounting experience.
• Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842.
• Develops detailed understanding of the end-to-end lease accounting process and related controls.
• Proactively prepares weekly/monthly/quarterly analyses and related journal entries.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and investigates variances.
• Supports internal and external audit activities, including SOX compliance.
• Completes special projects as requested by department leadership.
• Keeps abreast of FASB/SEC/PCAOB updates affecting accounting practices.
