Job summary

National Church Residences in Dublin, OH is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead the full AP cycle across multiple entities and guide a four-person AP team.

This hybrid, full-time role reports to the Sr. Director Accounting and emphasizes internal controls, vendor relations, and process improvements, including Workday workflows.

You will mentor staff, resolve escalations, and support audits while expanding automation and KPI tracking to strengthen financial operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive accounts payable experience with supervisory responsibility.
• Experience managing AP in a multi-entity organization.
• Strong knowledge of AP principles, accounting practices, and internal controls.
• Experience with ERP systems and electronic invoice workflows; Workday preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full AP cycle across multiple entities, from vendor setup to payment and close.
• Build and lead the AP team; set goals, balance workloads, and coach development.
• Serve as escalation point for vendor disputes, payment discrepancies, and complex inquiries.
• Maintain strong internal controls, support audits, and manage 1099 reporting.
• Drive modernization through automation and workflow improvements, KPI definition, and system upgrades in Workday.
