Job summary

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead daily AP operations in a hybrid role with Ohio presence. The position requires coordinating workflow, supervising staff, ensuring accurate invoice processing, and timely vendor payments.

Candidates should have an associate degree (bachelor preferred), 3–5 years AP experience, and knowledge of AP controls and ERP tools such as NetSuite. Join a mission-driven nonprofit serving the community.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in accounting or related field required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Three to five years of progressive AP experience.
• Experience coordinating AP workflows and guiding others; supervisory experience is a plus.
• Working knowledge of AP internal controls and best practices.
• Experience in high-volume AP environments or shared services.
• Experience with AP automation tools and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily AP operations to meet service levels and closing timelines.
• Supervise, train, and develop AP staff.
• Oversee PO and invoice processing from intake to posting, including coding and approvals.
• Manage payment processing with proper approvals and timely vendor payments.
• Maintain vendor master data and onboarding documents.
• Prepare year-end 1099s and support month-end closings.
• Provide AP metrics to drive performance and improvements.
