Job summary

LHH is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-volume AP operation within a growing transportation and supply chain organization. The role supervises a team of 8–9 professionals and partners with Accounting, Treasury, Procurement and Operations to optimize cash flow and vendor relationships.

You will oversee all AP processes, ensure strong internal controls, and drive automation initiatives across domestic and international entities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.
• 3+ years of leadership or management experience.
• Experience supervising teams of 8+ employees.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and AP best practices.
• Experience with ERP systems and AP automation platforms.
• Workday experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the accounts payable function across multiple domestic and international entities.
• Manage and develop a team of AP professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of high-volume invoices, payments, vendor maintenance, and disbursements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, audit compliance, and accounting policy adherence.
• Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Procurement, and Operations teams to support cash flow management and vendor relationships.
• Oversee month-end and year-end AP close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and workflow efficiencies.
• Support ERP and financial system enhancements while developing key performance metrics for the department.
