Job summary

Catalogue, a Salis Holdings-owned platform, is seeking an organized Accounts Payable Junior to join the accounting team in Washington, DC. You will support a high-volume AP department and learn multi-unit restaurant accounting in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field is a plus (not required).
  • 2–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Restaurant365 or similar accounting software a plus (training provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with vendors and internal teams.
  • Good time-management and ability to handle multiple invoices and deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and team-first attitude.

  • Invoice processing: review, enter vendor invoices into the system.
  • Payment support: help schedule payments by check, ACH, or wire.
  • Code invoices to correct GL accounts and departments.
  • Track Ramp Cards and obtain approvals for upload.
  • Vendor communication and resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Reconciliation support for statements and corporate cards.
  • Monitor AP emails and route to proper person.
  • Prepare and process periodic bank deposits.
  • Month-end close assistance with basic accruals and reporting.
  • Help maintain W-9 records and 1099 reporting under guidance.

Position Summary

We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Junior to join our accounting team! In this role, you'll support a high-volume Accounts Payable department. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who's eager to learn the ropes of restaurant AP and multi-unit accounting in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

What You'll Do
  • Invoice Processing: Receive, review, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.
  • Payment Support: Assist with preparing and scheduling vendor payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer to ensure bills are paid on time.
  • Data Entry & Coding: Accurately code invoices to the correct general ledger accounts and departments.
  • Ramp Cards: Track down proper back-up, code and approve for upload.
  • Vendor Communication: Respond to routine vendor inquiries, help resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date vendor records.
  • Reconciliation Support: Assist with reconciling vendor statements, corporate credit card statements, and identify and correct discrepancies.
  • Email Inbox: Monitor, review and forward AP and Accounting emails. Answering or resolving any questions and requests or elevate to proper person.
  • Bank Deposit: Prepare and process periodic bank deposits.
  • Office Mail: Sort, scan and distribute.
  • Month-End Assistance: Support the accounting team during month-end close, including basic accruals and reporting tasks.
  • Compliance: Help maintain W-9 records and support annual 1099 reporting under the guidance of senior staff.
What We're Looking For
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus (not required).
  • Experience: 2-4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Restaurant365 or similar accounting software a plus (training provided).
  • Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in data entry and a careful, methodical approach to work.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
  • Organization: Good time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple invoices and deadlines.

Compensation

Salary: $55,000/year
