Southside Market & Barbeque is seeking a dependable AP Specialist to join our accounting team. This role handles accounts payable across multiple entities and supports accurate financial reporting with strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate has hands-on full-cycle AP experience, takes ownership of work, values accuracy, and seeks to grow into broader accounting responsibilities over time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3–5+ years of AP or related accounting experience.
• Experience supporting multiple entities or complex organizations.
• Beginner to intermediate Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Organized and consistent with financial documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable across multiple entities.
• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in Ramp and NetSuite.
• Maintain complete documentation and audit trails.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage company credit card activity.
• Process checks and electronic payments.
• Communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams.
• Support month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations.
• Review AP aging and resolve outstanding items.
• Help improve AP processes, controls, and efficiencies.
• Support additional accounting and ad-hoc department needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounts payable across multiple entities
• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in Ramp and NetSuite
• Maintain complete documentation and audit trails

• Manage company credit card activity
• Process checks and electronic payments
