Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to support day-to-day AP operations, including invoice review, coding, matching, approvals, and payments, with emphasis on accuracy and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in AP, strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables), and experience with ERP systems like NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Great Plains. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of accounts payable, accounting, or financial analysis experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, reconciliations, and accounting principles.
• ERP experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Great Plains.
• Strong Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze AP transactions, vendor balances, payment activity, and outstanding invoices.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or variances.
• Assist with full-cycle AP, including invoice review, coding, matching, approvals, and payments.
• Prepare AP reports, aging reports, and other financial analyses for management.
• Support weekly and monthly payment runs, including ACH, wire, and check payments.
• Reconcile the AP subledger to the general ledger and assist with month-end close.
• Identify process improvements and help maintain accurate AP data and internal controls.
• Research and resolve vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to support day-to-day AP operations while providing analysis, reporting, and reconciliation support. This role is ideal for an AP professional with strong Excel skills and experience working with high-volume transactions, vendor accounts, payment processing, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze AP transactions, vendor balances, payment activity, and outstanding invoices
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies or variances
• Assist with full-cycle AP, including invoice review, coding, matching, approvals, and payments
• Prepare AP reports, aging reports, and other financial analyses for management
