Job summary

Siddons-Martin Emergency Group in Houston, TX, is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee Accounts Receivable and support general accounting activities. You will ensure timely invoicing, cash applications, collections, and month-end close, partnering with operations and sales to improve processes and maintain strong internal controls.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years AR/accounting experience, and proficiency with ERP systems (Dynamics 365 F&O preferred).

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Accounts Receivable operations, including billing, cash applications, collections, and customer account maintenance.
• Monitor aging reports and resolve outstanding balances with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Review and approve customer credit requests and account adjustments.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account analysis.
• Support the preparation of management reporting.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Treasury, and other departments to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and supporting analyses.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting staff as assigned.
• Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
