Job summary

MDS Staffing is seeking a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, partner with the Controller, and lead the accounting staff. You will manage month-end close, oversee inventory reconciliations, and support payroll, audits, and tax reporting.

This on-site role in Arkansas requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of experience with direct reports, strong financial reporting skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with direct reports.
• Proven financial reporting skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise staff, answer technical questions, and guide daily workflow.
• Financial Close: Prepare and review journal entries, conduct inventory counts/reconciliations, and generate month-end reports.
• Tax & Compliance: Prepare sales & use tax returns, enforce internal controls, and maintain strict data confidentiality.
• Process Improvement: Analyze financial options, assist with corporate accounting initiatives, and lead special projects.
