Job summary

We Do The Search in Hope, AR seeks an Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and partner with the Controller. You will lead the accounting staff, manage month-end close, oversee inventory reconciliations, and support payroll, audits, and tax reporting.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years of accounting experience with direct reports, and strong financial reporting and deadline discipline. Some travel may be required; CPA/CMA is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations and partner with our client's Controller. You will lead the accounting staff, manage month-end close, oversee inventory reconciliations, and support payroll, audits, and tax reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Supervise staff, answer technical questions, and guide daily workflow.
• Financial Close: Prepare and review journal entries, conduct inventory counts/reconciliations, and generate month-end reports.
• Tax & Compliance: Prepare sales & use tax returns, enforce internal controls, and maintain strict data confidentiality.
• Process Improvement: Analyze financial options, assist with corporate accounting initiatives, and lead special projects.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of accounting experience with direct reports.
• Proven financial reporting skills, detail orientation, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred:

• CPA/CMA license (or eligibility to sit for exams).
