Job summary

Opti Staffing Group is assisting a Vancouver-based manufacturer and distributor in finding an Accounting & Inventory Specialist. The role focuses on hands-on accounting and inventory control in a smaller, collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will manage daily accounting with QuickBooks, process payables/receivables, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close while coordinating with warehouse teams. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities using QuickBooks, including invoicing, payments, and financial recordkeeping.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Track inventory transactions and assist with inventory adjustments.
• Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams for accurate inventory reporting.
• Process customer invoices, credits, refunds, and billing adjustments.
• Assist with purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payment tracking.
• Maintain accurate financial records and organized documentation.
• Support month-end accounting activities, including journal entries and reporting.
• Utilize Excel to organize data, prepare reports, and track financial information.
• Provide additional administrative and operational support as needed.
